ACEDE: Asociación Científica de Economía y Dirección de la Empresa

 

ACEDE és una associació d'investigació, estudi i difusió de l'Economia i Direcció de l'Empresa mitjançant:

1. Foment de la investigació i de l'enseñança de l'Economia i la Direcció de l'Empresa.

2. Recolzament dels contactes científics entre els diferents membres de l'Associació.

3. Mantenir contactes científics amb institucions nacionals i extrangeres.

4. Cuidar els contactes científics amb la pràctica de l'Economia i Administració pública.

EURO: The Association of European Operational Research Societies

 

EURO is the "Association of European Operational Research Societies" within IFORS, the "International Federation of Operational Research Societies". It is a "non profit" association domiciled in Brussels, Belgium.

Its affairs are regulated by a Council consisting of representatives/alternates of all its members and an Executive Committee which constitutes its board of directors. Its aim is to promote Operational Research throughout Europe.     

                                                               

 

EUROMA: European Operations Management Association

 

EurOMA is:

An international network: a network of academics and managers from around the world interested in developing Operations Management. It is a European based network, with rapidly developing international links, where people can get together to communicate experience and ideas. It is a network that bridges the gap between research and practice.

 

Concerned with both Manufacturing and Service: in both manufacturing and service, Operations Management approaches, techniques and concepts, from quality management to operations strategy are key to competitiveness. Both the membership and the various activities reflect this broad spread of interest and application.

 

A Focus for Development and Application of Knowledge: excellence in manufacturing and service operations must be led by the development of new knowledge. The Association provides a focus for exploring and disseminating the latest thinking and research.

 

Supporting Excellence in Teaching: the Association promotes and provides a wide range of activities designed to advance teaching of Operations Management.

 

Exploring Key Issues and Trends: the Association provides a forum for identifying and exploring key issues in operations, and setting research agendas for the future.

European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions

The Foundation is a European Union body, one of the first to be established to work in specialised areas of EU policy. Specifically, it was set up by the European Council (Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1365/75 of 26 May 1975), to contribute to the planning and design of better living and working conditions in Europe.

Role

To provide information, advice and expertise – on living and working conditions, industrial relations and managing change in Europe – for key actors in the field of EU social policy on the basis of comparative information, research and analysis.

GIO: Grupo de Ingeniería de Organización

 

GIO UPM, perteneciente a la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid es el equivalente a la Escuela de Negocios de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación y es la responsable de la Formación de Postgrado en Administración de Empresas y de Tecnologías de la información aplicadas a la empresa.

IFORS: International Federation Operational Research Societies

The International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS) is an umbrella organization comprising the national Operations Research societies of over forty five countries from four geographical regions:Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, South America

Total membership is over 25,000 persons.
IFORS' mission is to promote Operations Research as an academic discipline and a profession.

INFORMS: Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences

The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) is the largest professional society in the world for professionals in the field of operations research (O.R.). It was established in 1995 with the merger of the Operations Research Society of America (ORSA) and The Institute of Management Sciences (TIMS).

The society serves the scientific and professional needs of O.R. educators, investigators, scientists, students, managers, and consultants, as well as the organizations they serve, by such services as publishing 12 scholarly journals that describe the latest O.R. methods and applications and a membership magazine with news from across the profession. The society organizes national and international conferences for academics and professionals, as well as members of the society's special interest groups. The Institute serves as a focal point for O.R. professionals, permitting them to communicate with each other and reach out to other professional societies, as well as the varied clientele of the profession's research and practice.


 

POMS: Production Operations Management Society

Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) is an international professional organization representing the interests of POM professionals from around the world. The purposes of the Society are:

  • to extend and integrate knowledge that contributes to the improved understanding and practice of production and operations management (POM);
  • to disseminate information on POM to managers, scientists, educators, students, public and private organizations, national and local governments, and the general public; and
  • to promote the improvement of POM and its teaching in public and private manufacturing and service organizations throughout the world



 

SEFI: Société Europeénne pour la Formation des Ingénieurs

                                     

SEFI was founded in 1973 as a non-profit making organisation under Belgian Law.

It is the largest network of higher engineering institutions and of individuals involved in engineering education in Europe.

SEFI has the mission to contribute to the development and the improvement of the engineering education in Europe. 

SEFI is the first example of an association directly linking the institutions of higher engineering education, hence independent of national and/or community filters in establishing its policy, as an international forum for discussing problems and identifying solutions relating to engineering education.

 

 

SEIO: Sociedad de Estadística e Investigación Operativa

 

SEIO és una organització autònoma que té com a objectiu el desenvolupament, millora i promoció dels mètodes i aplicacions de l'Estadística i de la Investigació Operativa en el seu sentit més ampli.

 

En l'àmbit de la seva competència organitza Congressos Ordinaris i Reunions Monogràfiques; també edita revistes professionals i butlletins d'informació; potencia intercanvis nacionals e internacionals; promociona activitats de consulta en els sectors públics i privats; estimula la investigació i posa l'Esta´dística i la Investigació Operativa al servei de la Ciència i la Societat.
